I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I have tutored in Japanese as well as Maths and Economics. I have helped students learn to solve year 8 maths questions, say and understand basic Japanese words and sentences. During my high school’s homework club, I have also tutored my school’s lower years in Mathematics and Economics. Currently, I am a private Maths tutor for a year 8 student.
I am a strict but enthusiastic tutor who takes pleasure and pride in the success of my students. With me, you will understand and learn, apply that knowledge and revise the material with practice questions.
I have worked as a private tutor for almost two years. I initially began tutoring in 2012 whilst undertaking a previous degree (science) as a side job. I fell in love with it! I derived great satisfaction seeing the lightbulb go off in the children’s head when they understood a concept. It was such a brilliant feeling knowing that I helped someone further their knowledge and potentially help them develop a love of learning. As a result, I gave up my science degree and continued tutoring for the remainder of the year and decided to enrol in a teaching degree the following year. Fast forward two years, and have not looked back. I love learning about learning at university and am eager to pass this on to future tutees.
When I’m not at uni, I love being active – I am currently playing in a frisbee league in the inner city, love gentle hikes, walking through nature and cycling. I also love to cook, especially for my friends and family, listen to music and read.

About Me
I am a baking fanatic and a cat lover as they both calm me down when I’m stress. I’m sure I’m not the only one who often feels stress and need some ME time. I understand what students are going through in their studies, thus, I strive to ensure all my students come out of their tutoring classes refreshed and calm.

Throughout my experience, I find that structuring classes and materials specific to individual’s needs is beneficial. For example, if a student would like to focus more on a topic they are weak in, we will balance it out by focusing on the desired topic, without neglecting the rest of the course work. Furthermore, the use of worksheets and notes will be heavily dependent on the students’ need and situations rather than a one size fits all model.
I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University. Tutoring is an extremely rewarding task because I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience. High school is one of the most exciting journeys in a student’s life, and it is a pleasure to help others getting the most out of it. I am in all-rounded individual, enjoying both sports and music. I enjoy playing tennis and golf in my spare time, and I am practiced in three instruments, including the bagpipes. Additionally, I am fascinated by Greco-Roman mythology, and even continue to study classics subjects as electives to this day.
In 2014 I graduated from a Master of Science degree from the University of Melbourne, majoring in zoology. I have extensive experience working as both a private and volunteer tutor for students of all ages, spanning a breadth of subjects, including biology, chemistry, English, maths and physics. Being an active member of various communities over the past few years has given me the opportunity to develop strong interpersonal skills. As a university tutor and practical demonstrator I was able to develop skills in teaching and communication. I also thoroughly enjoyed my position as a volunteer tutor for primary students at the Victorian Housing Commission from 2011-2012. I am an enthusiastic, reliable and responsible member of the community, and am always eager to share my passion for education with others.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Sydney, having just completed a double degree in Chemical Engineering and Science. I’ve been tutoring Maths and Science subjects, up to HSC level, for a number of years now. As a lover of maths and science I find it incredibly rewarding when I can help students gain a greater appreciation of both.
Hi, I am a student of University of Melbourne. But apart from studying, I enjoy tutoring and helping my students progress. Also, I like playing the piano and dancing. I work as a pianist at Chinabar. I was involved in a jazz annual production piece and a charity gig piece in Flare Dance Ensemble at university. I am also a member of the marketing committee for Chinese Cultural Society and a back stage crew for Chinese Theatre Group at university.
I achieved high grades and a high ATAR in my Year 12 which allowed me to pursue a field in Medicine at Melbourne University and I feel I owe a large portion of that credit to the teachers who were willing to help me through the year. I want to provide similar assistance to other students so they may also achieve their potential best. Aside from University and Tutoring, I enjoy playing guitar and some other musical instruments. I love watching movies and TV shows and also spending a little time in the gym to keep fit.
