I’m a 19 year old student from Sydney currently living in Parkville. I enjoy tutoring because I feel that teaching comes very naturally to me and I have the capacity to be very patient. I enjoy playing music, and have played mainly drums and saxophone for 13 and 9 years respectively. My favourite sports are football, AFL and tennis.

Hi everyone! My name is Sophie and I would love to help you improve your grades. I am currently in my second year of an Arts degree, majoring in criminology and minoring in French. I am hardworking, enthusiastic, and really enjoy learning. When I’m not at uni, you can find me with my head stuck in a book, running in the park, playing my violin, or daydreaming about my next overseas adventure.
I have quite a bit of previous experience tutoring high school students and teaching both English and German as a second language. With regard to essay writing, I can help you to understand the style of writing that’s required at university, how to research and reference your assignments, and how to deconstruct, interpret and respond to essay questions in a clear, structured manner. I boarded in Scotch College from 2010 to 2012 (when I completed my VCE Studies), during which I played open level soccer (1sts, 2nds) and Tennis. Living on boarding taught me valuable lessons about managing social life with my studies. During my schooling career I also partook in extra-curricular Drama, having a large part in the composition of two plays which were performed at school.
I enjoy tutoring because of the satisfaction of knowing you established a repertoire with a student and ultimately was able to help them achieve. I function best when given the opportunity to interact with those with whom I work, and tutoring is a great basis for that.
