I am a recent school leaver who graduated with an ATAR of 99.7. I enjoy working around children and have done so for over two years, and I have a passion for teaching students to reach the best of their abilities. I am a friendly personality, with a love of baking, debating, and animals, and tutoring is more of a hobby to me than a job. I love it. I am confident in my ability to cater to individual students’ needs, and guarantee improvement and academic success.
I enjoy tutoring because it enhances my capabilities in teaching less-capable students. More importantly, it is a very rewarding experience because helping other students achieve their goals in the field of mathematics is a reward to any tutor – precisely the type of reward I am searching for in life.
Hi,
My name is Caitlin and I am an 18 year old university student at the University of Melbourne who graduated from St Margaret’s school in 2013. I currently work with children aged 5-12 as a Hot Shots tennis coach, a job that I love. It is my aim that after I complete my undergraduate degree to study fourth year honours in Psychology and then postgraduate studies to become a Clinical Educational Psychologist.
What I am offering:
Tutoring tailored to your needs, whether its help for an assignment of exams or building skills to sustain you throughout your school career. It is my philosophy that to help a child’s education you must focus on their strengths and confidence rather than their weaknesses if you wish to see long term success. I am also more than happy to consult and give progress reports to parents. Furthermore, I also have an abundance of resources (books and notes) and first-hand VCE advice to offer.
I am currently studying Environments at the University of Melbourne with a major in Environmental Engineering. I have always enjoyed Maths, ever since I was young. I began tutoring students 3 years ago at a local public high school near me. I enjoy tutoring as I get to use my knowledge of Maths to help students. It was very rewarding to see students that I was teaching making progress and understanding Maths concepts that they previously did not understand and also achieving better results because of this. Aside from Maths, I enjoy riding my bike, seeing friends, reading and travelling.
I am a student at the University of Melbourne studying Science with a major in Applied mathematics and intending to pursue further studies in electrical engineering. I have been a tutor since 2012 with diverse experience, tutoring a range of students from the struggling to the advanced. I enjoy tutoring and employ a range of analytic approaches tailored to my student’s type. I also have experience tutoring colleagues in uni through topics in mathematics and physics. When I’m not engrossed in my studies, I enjoy playing music, which I do in a range of ensembles including a Stage Band.
