I’m a 19 year old BA student, majoring in creative writing and literature. I’ve spent time tutoring students in both of those disciplines, hoping to develop the same passion for the English language that I have.
In my spare time, I work as a reader and editor for a literary magazine.

Experienced tutor
Tutored primary school students mainly in introductory science concepts and mathematics most in preparation for the OC or Selective School entrance exams. 2 students were able to enter Sutherland Primary OC class, while another long term student got accepted into Sydney Girls . Most pleasing however was helping a high school student who was getting C’s and D’s become a consistent A and B student.
An energetic and enthusiastic individual, Joshua is able to excel academically in whatever field he chooses. With a particular interest in Biology and Chemistry, this first year University of Melbourne student will work tirelessly to fulfill your tutoring needs.
I’m a current bio-medical student at Melbourne university and I am pursuing a career as a medical research scientist. I love tutoring as it not only allows me to pass on useful knowledge to others and maintain my communication skills at a high level but also helps me in my own studies and time management as well as for preparing effective study plans. I enjoy playing soccer, chess and engaging in discussions on global and scientific issues with friends over a cup of coffee.
I very much enjoy tutoring students because it gives me an opportunity to help them to understand things that I find fascinating – such as novels, history or even just the English language itself. It is also wonderful to see the progress that students can make quite quickly when they have someone to help and guide them in their study.
Outside of tutoring, my main hobby is dance. I have studied ballet and jazz/contemporary for about 18 years now, and I still love to learn and improve my skills, and of course perform also. I also enjoy spending time reading, and watching films – and better yet discussing these things with others. But perhaps what I enjoy most is spending time with my friends, family and of course my dog!
I am a passionate person and consider myself to be a hard working, innovative individual.
Much of my professional experience is in childcare for primary school children and I have worked for two families as a nanny and tutor whilst completing my tertiary education and a large part of my role in both cases was assisting with schoolwork with a particular focus on reading and language skills.
I achieved a Victorian ENTER score for my year 12 study of 93, with outstanding scores in Revolutionary History, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods and English Literature.
