About Me
I love tutoring because I have a natural gift in being able to understand the cognitive and learning processes of students and I enjoy engaging with students and bringing a knowledge to them that is both challenging and inspiring. I love seeing students apply what they have learnt in their everyday lives and in their perception of their world and themselves; to me teaching is more than simply teaching a student to regurgitate content, it is a developmental and guidance process that transcends the textbook and extends to their maturing as a person.

Having coached privately for three years and worked within the prestigious Newington College, I can confidently say that I possess a wealth of experience, academic acumen, and professionalism.
My areas of specialisation are Maths (Primary, Year 7- Preliminary HSC) and English (Primary, Year 7 – Preliminary HSC)
I have taken responsibility as an Educational Assistant and Tutor within both a classroom and private environment.
This allowed me to interact with students on a daily basis facilitating the most beneficial environment for their education by orchestrating lessons, tasking and marking homework, and preparing educational materials and feedback in order to update students and secure a consistent and communicative educational approach.
By assuming these positions I gained essential leadership and communicative skills through my consistent interaction with students, whilst also fine-tuning my organisational and analytical skills in orchestrating lessons and providing feedback for students’ work within a strict time frame.

In 2012, I undertook a Gap Year in England, and worked as a teachers’ assistant at Brentwood School. During school hours, I tutored students, both in primary and secondary school, in English, Music, Mathematics and Physical Education. I also tutored secondary students after school twice a week, during their prep time.
I am a passionate person and consider myself to be a hard working, innovative individual.
Much of my professional experience is in childcare for primary school children and I have worked for two families as a nanny and tutor whilst completing my tertiary education and a large part of my role in both cases was assisting with schoolwork with a particular focus on reading and language skills.
I achieved a Victorian ENTER score for my year 12 study of 93, with outstanding scores in Revolutionary History, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods and English Literature.
I am a highly motivated, caring and smart individual who feels truly rewarded when I am able to help others and to do so through tutoring someone in a subject area I love including English and the Humanities would be my ideal job. My marks, experience and communication skills make me an ideal tutor and I am willing to understand how an individual learns to cater for the way I tutor to their needs. I look forward to meeting and assisting enthusiastic and willing students.
