I achieved high grades and a high ATAR in my Year 12 which allowed me to pursue a field in Medicine at Melbourne University and I feel I owe a large portion of that credit to the teachers who were willing to help me through the year. I want to provide similar assistance to other students so they may also achieve their potential best. Aside from University and Tutoring, I enjoy playing guitar and some other musical instruments. I love watching movies and TV shows and also spending a little time in the gym to keep fit.Jessie

About Me***CURRENTLY ACCEPTING STUDENTS FOR SUMMER HEAD-START PROGRAM*** Hi everybody. I am Andy Nguyen, an experienced tutor and a qualified secondary teacher in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Vietnamese at VCE Unit 1 – 4 level, as well as Maths and Sciences for Year 7 – 10. I am also a fluent Vietnamese speaker and I would love to help anyone who is interested in learning this language, either for leisure or academic purpose. To tell you about myself: I graduated from Brunswick Secondary College as the Dux of 2013 with an ATAR score of 99.15. The VCE (raw) study scores I received for subjects which I teach are: Here are several other achievements I was awarded: As of 2020, my other qualifications include Bachelor of Biomedicine (with Honours) and Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne. I am currently a qualified secondary Science (Chemistry & Biology) and Mathematics teacher. For me, tutoring and teaching have always been a fulfilling experience. It provides me with the opportunity to reflect upon my knowledge, to give back something good to students, and to inspire them with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment. I have a strong passion for education which I would love to share with you, so I will always look forward to supporting you to achieve your greatest learning potential. Depending on your academic background, I will focus on solidifying fundamental concepts, clearing up misconceptions, and exploring many strategies that help you perform to the best of your ability and avoid making mistakes. For some subjects, I have a vast collection of worksheets and notes, which were personally prepared by myself as practice/revision materials. I am highly approachable and able to answer any questions related to any subjects outside the lesson times. While online tutoring (via Skype, Zoom, Google Meets, etc.) is currently my preference, I am more than happy to conduct face-to-face tutoring either at your home, University library, or a suitable local library. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to shoot me a message via email or my phone number. I currently have a valid Working with Children Check and a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Apart from teaching and tutoring, I enjoy DSLR photography, solo backpacking, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I also love getting involved in volunteering and social works, to help people in need and contribute my efforts towards charitable causes. Teaching Experiencetutored for more than 8 years

Srivatsa
Hello, I’m Srivatsa! I am a student at the University of Melbourne in the Master of Science (Physics) program, after having graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematical Physics major) in 2014. I completed my VCE in 2011 with an ATAR of 98.65, and study scores of 43, 41 and 40 in Mathematical Methods (CAS), Physics and Specialist Mathematics respectively. Subsequently, I have taken on a small number of students every year since then for VCE tutoring. If I am provided the opportunity to tutor you, you would not only benefit from a knowledge of the VCE mathematical and physics courses but also a perspective gained from having studied both mathematics and (especially) physics to an advanced level at university. In particular, I feel very strongly that these subjects are taught in a very mechanical way, forcing students to rote-learn key details rather than gaining a comprehensive understanding of the subject. I, however, find that taking the time to provide some simple examples, along with insights into the bigger picture and (not-so-obvious) links with other sections of the course, will reinforce concepts in a much more natural way!Matt

I am a student at the University of Melbourne studying Science with a major in Applied mathematics and intending to pursue further studies in electrical engineering. I have been a tutor since 2012 with diverse experience, tutoring a range of students from the struggling to the advanced. I enjoy tutoring and employ a range of analytic approaches tailored to my student’s type. I also have experience tutoring colleagues in uni through topics in mathematics and physics. When I’m not engrossed in my studies, I enjoy playing music, which I do in a range of ensembles including a Stage Band.- 1
