My name’s Roshini. I completed VCE last year, receiving study scores of: 50 for Mathematical methods, 47 for Japanese SL, 47 for chemistry, 46 for accounting, 45 for physical education and 44.5 for Literature. I also did the UMAT, and received a score of 99. I was also the Sports Captain of my High School (The MacRobertson Girls’ High School) in year 12, and was heavily involved in the leadership, sport, social service and house program. I am currently in my first year of medicine at Monash, and this year did private tutoring for UMAT for several students and earlier on in the year worked at Kumon, teaching younger children Mathematics and English. I also currently volunteer at the Sudanese Saturday School, where I teach both primary school and secondary school-aged refugee children. Since finishing VCE, I have been tutoring year 11 and year 12 students weekly. I have been teaching the following VCE subjects for the last 3 years; Maths Methods, Maths Specialist, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
My students have improved greatly via their lessons with me; one raising his Methods score from 60 average to 90+ test scores which gave him the opportunity to take up Maths Specialist in year 12. Through my encouragement and guidance, he was able to study Specialist which he did not believe possible until he started tutoring with me. His Physics scores also improved to a B+ and above while studying with me.
Another year 11 student, whom I have been tutoring for nearly a year now, has greatly improved her Methods and Chemistry scores, where she was initially considering dropping them. She is currently studying hard and achieving desirable scores in both subjects.

I’m a 19 year old student from Sydney currently living in Parkville. I enjoy tutoring because I feel that teaching comes very naturally to me and I have the capacity to be very patient. I enjoy playing music, and have played mainly drums and saxophone for 13 and 9 years respectively. My favourite sports are football, AFL and tennis.

Hi all!

My name is Evrim Yazgin and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne with the aim of Majoring in Mathematical Physics.

I have just completed a year abroad at the University of California, Berkeley where I was challenged greatly in my physics and mathematical endeavours.

In completing Year 12 in 2012, I obtained an ATAR score of 94.05 including 39 and 38 raw study scores in Chemistry and Physics respectively.

I am able to tutor both units 1/2 and 3/4 in Physics, Chemistry and Methods CAS in VCE.

I enjoy being able to pass on any tips and knowledge I may have to my students. I have made it a matter of principle to make sure that my students understand the concepts rather than simply memorising ‘tricks’ or formulae to solve specific questions allowing for a broader range for application.

I supply worksheets and extra notes where I believe it to be useful. I conduct weekly hour-long lessons.
Not owning a car, I do prefer my students to have their lessons at my house, but depending on distance, I may travel to theirs.
