I am enthusiastic about education that is both enjoyable and effective. I have a strong background in informal education (creative methods to facilitate learning), which I employ to create suitable and engaging lessons. Away from the desk, I enjoy hiking, cricket and debating.

Teaching Experience

2015: Privately tutored several VCE students in Religion and Society. All of whom attained scores above 40.
2016: Volunteer English teacher for underprivileged youth (14-17 year old) for 5 months.
2017: Presently tutoring several students in high school English, VCE English and VCE Maths Methods.

About Me

Hello there!

My name is Adele Paolini and I am a secondary school teacher. I teach English and Humanities subjects, as well as junior Visual Arts. My students describe me as fun, engaging, passionate, enthusiastic, fair and open-minded. I believe in forming strong relationships with my students to ensure they get the most out of every class and to encourage and nurture their creative and analytical skills. Moreover, my overall love and passion for teaching has been further nurtured and exemplified through experiencing a dichotomy of teaching practice throughout the past few years.

If you choose me to be your tutor, I will give you my time and effort and I will strive to ensure that the content is relevant and engaging for you. I believe every student is different and adopts individual ways of learning and retaining information so with me, you’re sure to feel comfortable and excited about your work. Talking about and exploring ideas is always an effective method of mine and I am always up to listening to your wonderful ideas.

Teaching Experience

I have taught at various schools, year levels and subjects, including English, English as an Additional Language (EAL), History, Geography and Visual Art. I have tutored my students at various schools in preparation for their English exams, ranging from year levels 7 to 11. I have also worked as an Integration Aide and Literacy Support Teacher and assisted students with with special learning needs with their homework and essay writing skills. I currently work at Education Kingdom College in Malvern on a casual basis, tutoring a Year 10 student in English. I am also currently studying a Diploma in Counselling at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, with an emphasis on student wellbeing and welfare.
