Teaching Experience

During high school I was involved in the Australian Army Cadets, whereby I taught a group of 25 students first aid, leadership, drill/dress and army skills over a course of three years. As part of this I wrote numerous lesson plans, organised training/teaching programmes for the whole year and administrated practical exercises to test the students. Within the course of several months the students were highly proficient in all cadet aspects and could readily perform taught skills to a high standard. Additionally, for two weeks in Year 11 I taught english to slum children in impoverished Cambodian villages. I was responsible for lesson plans, activities and teaching aids. In addition I informally tutored students in my high school subject class at the requests of the teachers.
