About MeI am a recent graduate of the University of Sydney and I am currently undertaking a Masters in Teaching. I enjoy reading literature and historical texts. I aim to motivate students to become as excited about History and English as much as I am. Tutoring is a rewarding experience as you are able to support students in their educational development as well as give them the individual attention they may not be receiving in the classroom. For three years I aided my Year 12 English teacher with planning and teaching lessons and private tutoring for her students in year 10 and year 12. The students found it beneficial to have someone close to their age aiding them through the English Advanced content. I was able to successfully help them in understanding the demands and responsibilities associated with senior school. In addition, I tutored an eight year old girl, who was in year 1 and 2 twice a week for two years. I helped her with her literacy, grammar and spelling. I tutor both Modern and Ancient History and English/Literature. Also, I have just completed my first teaching placement at Nossal High School. I taught both year 10 and year 11 for three weeks. |
