About Me

My name is Shafid Islam and I am a 2017 VCE graduate from Melbourne High School. I am able to tutor both Further Mathematics and Accounting. For Accounting, I achieved a raw 46 whilst for Further Mathematics, I achieved a raw 50 and Premiers Award. Both were my favourite subjects at school, and I feel that I would be able to tutor students successfully in these two subjects.

I had my fair share of troubles with VCE. Being incredibly sick with salmonella and suffering the occasional concussion from rugby requiring hospitalisation, I missed about a month and a half of school and dropped 20-30 SAC rankings after a single SAC. At the time, it seemed like achieving high was out of reach. I was never an excellent student with amazing grades. However, I developed effective learning methods that helped me perform in all of my other SACS and most importantly the exam, which I will endeavour to pass onto you.
