Hello, I’m Srivatsa! I am a student at the University of Melbourne in the Master of Science (Physics) program, after having graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematical Physics major) in 2014.
I completed my VCE in 2011 with an ATAR of 98.65, and study scores of 43, 41 and 40 in Mathematical Methods (CAS), Physics and Specialist Mathematics respectively. Subsequently, I have taken on a small number of students every year since then for VCE tutoring.
If I am provided the opportunity to tutor you, you would not only benefit from a knowledge of the VCE mathematical and physics courses but also a perspective gained from having studied both mathematics and (especially) physics to an advanced level at university. In particular, I feel very strongly that these subjects are taught in a very mechanical way, forcing students to rote-learn key details rather than gaining a comprehensive understanding of the subject. I, however, find that taking the time to provide some simple examples, along with insights into the bigger picture and (not-so-obvious) links with other sections of the course, will reinforce concepts in a much more natural way!
I am a student at the University of Melbourne studying Science with a major in Applied mathematics and intending to pursue further studies in electrical engineering. I have been a tutor since 2012 with diverse experience, tutoring a range of students from the struggling to the advanced. I enjoy tutoring and employ a range of analytic approaches tailored to my student’s type. I also have experience tutoring colleagues in uni through topics in mathematics and physics. When I’m not engrossed in my studies, I enjoy playing music, which I do in a range of ensembles including a Stage Band.

Experienced tutor
I have been in charge of 2 afternoon classes, each with 5- 10 students, year 11 and year 12 in my old high school for the past 3 years. The classes are for Mathematics and Chemistry and are to assist international students with understanding of concepts.
I have private tutoring experience with VCE Chemistry, Maths Methods, and Biology.
Hi, I’m currently studying a Master of Engineering (Biomedical) Degree at the University of Melbourne. I’ve had some experience tutoring VCE subjects. I legitimately enjoy teaching anything and everything I can to people who are willing to learn. I have a rather rare background having now studied science, medicine and engineering at university. But having this background I have extensive knowledge in all the basic sciences and mathematics.
Outside of Uni I like to play squash, play my favorite video game or listen to the occasional nerdy/scientific podcast or youtube video. I’ve also been lucky enough to travel overseas, from the Himalayas to Oxford University. I also do my bit for charity by donating blood plasma fortnightly.
I’ve nearly graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Melbourne Uni. I’ve instead chosen to study mechanical engineering and have enjoyed gaining a greater appreciation of how mechanical systems work. And so through this pursuit of understanding in maths and physics I find tutoring a rewarding experience.
